Charles M. DeFuccio, Esq., was a founding partner of Rose & DeFuccio, Esqs which has evolved into DeFuccio, Clancy & Esposito, LLC. He is widely respected among his peers as one of the most knowledgeable and effective matrimonial attorneys in Northern New Jersey, where he has practiced for his entire career. Down-to-earth and attentive, DeFuccio is also known for his patience and responsiveness. Perhaps more significantly, DeFuccio throughout his career has been at the forefront of some groundbreaking decisions in New Jersey divorce law. He has also been elected by his peers to “Best Lawyers in New Jersey” for over 20 consecutive years. He also founded the Bergen County Early Settlement Program, which is designed to help litigants resolve their case without further litigation and is mandatory in Bergen County and now utilized throughout the State of New Jersey.
He has been appointed in Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Morris County as a Guardian Ad Litem for children and has also been appointed by the Court as a Discovery Master to assist the Court in bringing cases to their rightful conclusion.
He is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Bergen County Bar Association, and he is active in the Passaic, Hudson, Essex and Morris County bar associations. He is a fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has served as chair and co-chair of the Family Law Section of the Bergen County Bar Association for over a decade.
